More Information About the Richmond Basketball Program
Dear Parents:

We are working hard to clarify the girls and boys basketball options for Richmond residents and students for the 2011-2012 season. Our preference for all grades is to have enough players to field our own teams that play against other teams in Berkshire County, or at least have enough students to run an effective and fun House League Program.

We will definitely have a House League program for Grades K-3. These practices, split into two time groups, will be held on Saturday mornings. We are looking for parent volunteers to help coach these teams.  The 2nd & 3rd graders will have an additional practice on Tuesday afternoons.

For the 4th-6th grade Boys and Girls, we will have a co-ed house league team that will practice on Mondays & Thursdays after school.  Please let us know if you are interested in helping out with this age group!

For girls and boys in the 7th and 8th grades, we recommend the House League basketball program in Housatonic, and for 7th and 8th grade girls who are interested in competitive play, we recommend the Golden Knights in Great Barrington.

House league programs are $25per player, with a family max. of $50. This includes league t-shirts, league trophies and a full season of play.  Registration forms can be found on this web site, and at school.  Please feel free to contact the Richmond Recreation Committee if you have questions, comments or would like to help with coaching (please!)

Thank you!!
